A Swiftair Boeing 737-400 on behalf of DHL, registration EC-MFE performing flight QY-5960 from Leipzig (Germany) to Vilnius (Lithuania) with 4 crew, was on final ILS approach to Vilnius' runway 19 maintaining routine communication with ATC until hand off to tower about 4nm before the runway threshold when the crew did not report on tower frequency, tower transmitted landing clearance into the blind, and the aircraft impacted ground about 0.87nm before the runway threshold at about 05:28L (03:28Z), skidded for about 247 meters before coming to rest at a residential building 0.74nm before the runway threshold and burst into flames. The two story residential building received roof damage and was on fire, however, there were no injuries on the ground to the 12 people living in the building. One pilot (48, Spanish) was killed, three crew (including a pilot (34), one German, one Lithuanian, one Spanish) have been taken to hospitals.

Another Westjet pilot travelling as passenger replaced the first officer, the aircraft continued to destination for a safe landing.

A Sunexpress Boeing 737-8 MAX, registration TC-SMD performing flight XQ-9282 from Izmir to Diyarbakir (Turkey), was climbing out of Izmir's runway 16L when the crew stopped the climb at FL120 reporting control issues. The aircraft entered a hold and subsequently returned to Izmir for a safe landing on runway 16L about 65 minutes after departure.

According The Aviation Herald By Simon Hradecky reported that an Anadolujet Boeing 737-800, performing flight from #Ankara to #Hakkari (Turkey), was on approach to Hakkari when the crew aborted the approach due to weather conditions and entered a hold. Subsequently the crew positioned for another approach to runway 29 and continued to touch down, but were unable to stop the aircraft before the end of the runway. The aircraft stopped with the nose gear on soft ground, the main gear on the paved surface of the runway end safety area and became disabled. There were no injuries.

A Cathay Pacific Airbus A350-1000, registration B-LXI performing flight CX-383 from Hong Kong (China) to Zurich (Switzerland), was climbing out of Hong Kong's runway 07R when the crew stopped the climb at 9000 feet after receiving a right hand engine (Trent XWB) fire warning. The crew worked the related checklists shutting the engine down and discharging one fire bottle with the fire warning ceasing, dumped fuel and returned to Hong Kong for a safe landing on runway 07L about 70 minutes after departure.

A RAM Royal Air Maroc Boeing 737-800, registration CN-RGW performing flight AT-567 from Casablanca (Morocco) to Monrovia (Liberia), landed on Monrovia's runway 04 at 06:15L (05:15Z) but after touch down veered left beyond the edge of the runway before returning onto the runway centerline. The aircraft slowed without further incident, vacated the runway and taxied to the apron.
