A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-8 MAX, registration N8841L performing flight WN-425 from Columbus,OH to Tampa,FL (USA), had been holding enroute due to weather at Tampa before continuing the approach to Tampa. On final approach to Tampa's runway 10, ambient pressure was stated 30.14 in/Hg by tower, the crew was advised of a headwind gain of about 10 knots at low altitude and a "bumpy ride". The aircraft descended below minimum safe height, when tower issued a low altitude alert they levelled off.

A Delta Airlines Boeing 767-400, registration N835MH performing flight DL-175 from Milan Malpensa (Italy) to Atlanta,GA (USA) with 234 people on board, was departing Malpensa's runway 17R when smoke appeared for a prolonged period of time before the aircraft became airborne. After climbing out to safety the aircraft levelled off at 3000 feet and returned to Malpensa for a landing on runway 35R without further incident about 20 minutes after departure.

Ryanair Boeing 737-800, registration EI-EVL performing flight FR-3697 from Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) to Gothenburg (Sweden), landed on Gothenburg's runway 21 when after touchdown the crew declared Mayday and advised they'd be stopping here, they had a fire on board.

A PIA Pakistan International Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration AP-BOM performing flight PK-223 from Faisalabad (Pakistan) to Dubai (United Arab Emirates) with 145 passengers and 7 crew, was accelerating for takeoff from Faisalabad's runway 03R when a bird was ingested by the right hand engine (CFM56) prompting the crew to reject takeoff at high speed (about 135 knots over ground). The aircraft slowed safely and became disabled on the runway with both left hand tyres deflated. The right hand engine received a number of bent fan blades.

The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 18 about 25 minutes later.

A Delta Airlines Airbus A321-200N, registration N513DA performing flight DL-475 from Boston,MA to San Francisco,CA (USA), was in the initial climb out of Boston's runway 22R when the crew reported they needed to shut their left hand engine (PW1133G) down. The crew stopped the climb at 1500 feet MSL, later climbed to 2000 feet MSL and returned to Boston for a safe landing on runway 22R about 20 minutes after departure.

A Malaysia Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration 9M-MXU performing flight MH-199 from Hyderabad (India) to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) with 138 people on board, was climbing out of Hyderabad when the crew stopped the climb at FL290 due to a malfunction of the right hand engine (CFM56), which emitted sparks. The crew shut the engine down, drifted down to FL190 and returned to Hyderabad. The aircraft entered a hold to burn off fuel and landed safely on runway 27L about 2.5 hours after departure.
